Bariatric overnight oats recipe for weight loss surgery

Protein Packed Overnight Oats

These overnight oats are perfect for any bariatric patient that likes to keep things flavorful at breakfast time AND start the day off with some high quality protein. The nonfat Greek yogurt and fat-free milk load up your overnight oats with protein. The beauty of this recipe is…. toppings! Blueberries, raspberries, bananas, walnuts, cinnamon… the options are endless. 

Makes: 6 servings

Prep: 5 mins

Chill time: 4-6 hours overnight

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups oats

  • 1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup fat-free or 1% milk

  • 2 tsp Splenda

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Blueberries, raspberries, or your favorite fruit for toppings

Directions

In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, milk, Splenda, and vanilla extract. Add oats and stir until evenly combined. Portion out 1/2 cup of the mixture into jars of your choosing. Chill overnight for at least 4-6 hours. Top with berries or your favorite toppings and enjoy!

PRO TIPS:

-Add powdered peanut butter (PB2 or PBFit) for extra protein!

- If you’re looking for some extra sweetness, feel free to mix in some Walden Farms Blueberry Syrup or Walden Farms Maple Walnut Syrup.
